Please be advised that roadworks will be starting soon on Ring Road, to remove the level crossing.
The City of Ballarat are preparing to close part of Ring Road. The closure of Ring Road will occur at the railway line crossing. Please This means that Ring Road will no longer be a through road. Turn around areas will be enabled on either side of the railway line and Ring Road will instead be a service road.
Vehicles will instead be able to travel the same route via Ballarat Link Road, using the railway overpass.
Temporary works to discontinue Ring Road and create turn-around areas are expected to begin in late December.
