We have been offered two fundraising opportunities. As a club we do not have chocolate drives or raffles throughout the year, instead we find opportunities where parents can offer their time to help to raise funds to update the gym and buy new equipment.
The first opportunity is to Marshall at the Begonia Festival, Monday 13th March. We need the following volunteers. The event is run by the Ballarat Council and they will pay the club if we can provide parents to help out in the following roles:
- Assembly Area Marshall: 8.00am – 12.00pm 1 person needed
- Parade Pace Leader: 10.00 – 12.15pm 1 person needed
- Disassembly Area Marshall: 10:00am – 12:15pm 1 person needed
- Line & Parade Marshall: 9 :00am – 12:15pm 2 people needed
We have volunteered at the parade for the last couple of years and we had a lot of fun, met some new parents from the club and interacted with many people from the public on the day.
The second opportunity is to run a Bunnings BBQ, Creswick Rd Store on Saturday 1st April. We are asking parents to volunteer for an hour over the day, anytime from 8am till 4pm. We currently have five volunteers for this. However, if you are able to assist we would be very appreciative as it can get really busy and more hands are better!
