Competitive Gymnastics with Flexibility

What Makes AGC Unique?

The Australian Gymnastics Competitions (AGC) program offers gymnasts the chance to experience the excitement of competition while keeping their training schedule manageable. Unlike traditional WAG programs that focus on increasingly difficult skills, AGC places emphasis on clean execution and confident performance. This makes it ideal for gymnasts who prefer a less intense competition environment.

Welcoming clubs across Melbourne and Geelong host competitions, making it easy for families to attend events without extensive travel.

AGC Commitment – Flexible and Family-Friendly

One of the biggest advantages of the Australian Gymnastics Competitions (AGC) program is its flexibility. Unlike MAG and WAG programs where competitions are compulsory, AGC events are entirely optional. Gymnasts can choose to participate in as few or as many competitions as they like—typically between two and four events per year, plus the Victorian Championships.

This allows families to tailor the experience to their child’s interest and availability, making AGC a great fit for busy schedules.

What You’ll Need for AGC

To compete in AGC, gymnasts will need:

  • A competition leotard
  • Shorts or leggings (allowed in both training and competition)
  • Optional grips for bars (to protect hands)
