A new year at Eureka!

So much has happened since Christmas it’s hard to believe we are only a month into 2014!

Our competitive girls have been training since mid-January with a large number of them working on routines for competitions in March.  Our competitive boys program launched a week later and the boys are also preparing for competitions in March.  Our competitive classes are now so big we have needed to employ another coach and we welcome Shannen to our coaching team!

Our recreational classes resume next week and already all the classes are full or near full.  We are currently preparing to introduce more recreational classes during the week.  Our pre-school classes are also filling up fast.  Our under 5 programs are the ideal pathway into our competitive or recreational classes, and will teach young children physical skills they can take into nearly any other sport!

There have also been some big changes to the building.  We have put up a metal bar (one of the six apparatus the competitive boys use), and some wall bars.  We have recently placed another equipment order which includes matting to replace the old mats under the beams, two sets of rings, and a pommel horse.  Lastly, over the coming weeks permanent walls will be put up to completely define our gymnasium.

If you are reading this and want to be part of a rapidly growing, volunteer run, and not for profit gymnastics club please contact us to find a class for your son or daughter!
